NJIA “The Path”
YOUTH
DIVERSION
The NJIA Program
goal is to prevent previously adjudicated youth from having
further involvement with the Juvenile Justice system while
enhancing family life and establishing a sense of community.
The program focuses on the family as the source of the
solutions of child and adolescent behavior. Our process does
not judge, but uses a competency-based approach to reframe
individual behaviors. Competency based methodologies recognize
strengths and build upon them rather than concentrating on
what’s deficient or wrong.
